Mommy & Sophie
Sophie's 1st Day of School
Posted by Picasa
Today was Sophie's 1st day of school! She started off with a good breakfast, then brushed her teeth (a favorite activity). She's very fond of her "Hello Kitty" lunch box...so much that she wouldn't take her eyes off of it long enough for me to get a quick photo! I just took what I could get.

Saturday morning cartoons & chocolate chip pancakes
in Mom's & Dad's bed....what could be better?

Uncle Andrew & Aunt Ashley came down for a visit, so
Sophie took the chance to work puzzles with Uncle Andrew.

I couldn't believe it when Sophie sat still long enough
for me to fix her pig tails! She loved them & I
must admit...she does look pretty cute!

Sophie thought she'd giving bowling a try!

Will is "Mr. Serious" when he's bowling...
can't imagine where he gets that?
Then there's Alex....the easy-going,
"nothing gets me down" girl!

For some reason, Alex thought it would be fun to dress-up like a boy.
She & I had a great time laughing when her wardrobe was complete.
Neither of us could believe how different she looked.

I know it looks like Sophie must have eaten 10 cookies, but I promise that's just her 2nd one!

Riding the bus home from school is such a BIG deal! Aren't they cute?

We saw some of the biggest jelly fish we've ever seen!

They had a play area that had a humpback whale slide!

We really had a great time!

Alex was "blown away" by the giant piece of chocolate cake at The Spaghetti Warehouse!
For our final stop, we visited The Georgia Aquarium!

We could not believe how big the whale sharks were!

After spending the day in Chattanooga, we drove to Atlanta!
The kids had no idea where we were going.
It was really fun to surprise them with a trip to
WhiteWater water park! We had such a great time!

They were completely "waterlogged" at the end of the day!

Matt & I surprised Will & Alex with 3-day trip to celebrate the end of summer. Yes, I did say "celebrate"! Our first stop was Rock City in Chattanooga.
Here we are at the lookout where you can actually view 7 states!
The waterfall at "Lover's Leap".
Our next stop was Ruby Falls, also in Chattanooga.
They really loved the thought of being in a cave so far under ground.

Here they are, heading off for the 1st Day of School!!
Alex's teacher is Ms. Griffin.
She was so excited to have the same teacher that Will had for Kindergarten!

Will has Mrs. Trainer for 1st Grade. She is just the sweetest....and she's a UT fan!! GO VOLS!!
Well, they survived the 1st day of school! They actually rode the school bus home for the first time! That was Alex's favorite thing about her 1st day of "big school"!
